I-580 Tracy DDI Project Overview
The City of Tracy, in cooperation with Caltrans, is developing a major infrastructure improvement project to transform the existing I-580/Patterson Pass Road/International Parkway interchange. This innovative project will enhance traffic flow, improve safety, and accommodate increasing commercial growth in the San Joaquin County region.
Increased traffic demand due to commercial growth and planned future development in San Joaquin County is creating the need for this innovative interchange solution. The project will improve regional connectivity while providing a more efficient traffic pattern for both local residents and commercial vehicles.

Interstate 580/Patterson Pass Road/International Parkway Diverging Diamond Interchange Improvements represents a transformative infrastructure investment that delivers multiple strategic benefits to Tracy and the broader San Joaquin County region. The innovative Diverging Diamond Interchange design will dramatically improve traffic flow by expanding from a dated two-lane overpass to a comprehensive configuration featuring three northbound lanes, two southbound lanes, and enhanced on/off ramps with HOV access
